About Stannah Stairlifts
Stannah is one of the oldest names in the lift business. Joseph Stannah founded the company in London in 1867, making cranes and hoists for the city's docks, and it is still independent and family run, six generations later. It started making stair lifts in 1975.
Its US company, Stannah Stairlifts Inc., has its head office and showroom in Franklin, Massachusetts, with a second showroom in Elmsford, New York, and has been accredited by the Better Business Bureau since 1992.
Stannah designs and builds its own lifts, including the Siena and Starla ranges. For curved stairs the rail is custom made for your staircase, and every lift is priced after a free home survey rather than from a price list.
