Who we are

Stair Lifts Comparison is run by The Lead Advisory Company, which has helped people compare stair lift prices since 2005. Our US service started in 2020, and works the same way: you tell us about your stairs once, see a guide price on screen, and compare quotes from installers who can actually fit a lift in your area.

We are not a stair lift company. We don't make, sell or install lifts, which means we have no reason to push one brand over another. Our job is to make the comparison easy and to make sure the companies you hear from are ones we would be happy to recommend.

30,000+: US stair lift price requests since 2020
2005: the year we started comparing stair lifts

How it works

Tell us about your stairs
Straight or curved, how many steps, and your ZIP code. It takes about a minute.
See your guide price
A guide price for your staircase appears on screen straight away, so you know what to expect before you speak to anyone.
Choose who quotes
We show the installers that cover your ZIP code, and you choose which ones receive your request.
Compare and decide
The companies you chose confirm the details and arrange a free survey. Compare their quotes side by side, with no obligation to buy.

What "vetted" means

We don't pass your request to just anyone. Before an installer receives requests through us, we check three things.

Insurance

The company holds liability insurance for the work it does in your home.

Trained and approved

Its installers are trained on the brands it sells, and it holds any licences your state requires for the work.

Warranty and service

It gives a written warranty on the lift and the installation, and has a service team to look after the lift afterwards.

We also keep listening after the sale. We ask buyers how their installation went, and what they tell us shapes which companies we work with.
