About AmeriGlide
AmeriGlide is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and sells mobility equipment direct to homeowners across the whole country, working through a network of dealers, installers and service technicians. Its own range covers straight, curved and outdoor stair lifts, and it also sells vertical platform lifts, home elevators, lift chairs and scooters.
Its model is direct to consumer: AmeriGlide says cutting out the middleman lets it sell at factory-direct rather than retail prices. Straight stair lifts can be installed by the homeowner using AmeriGlide's guide and video, or fitted by a professional installer; curved lifts are made to measure and always professionally installed.
Alongside new lifts it sells factory-reconditioned stair lifts at a lower price, subject to availability, and offers financing so the cost can be spread over time.
Why people choose AmeriGlide
Swivel seat
At the top of the stairs a lever turns the seat away from the steps, so you get off facing the landing rather than twisting.
Armrest and remote controls
Easy-press controls on the armrest, plus remote controls to call the lift to either end of the stairs.
Footrest obstruction sensors
Pressure sensors on the footrest stop the lift if something like a bag or a toy is left on the stairs.
Folds away
A compact seat that folds up when not in use, leaving the staircase clear for everyone else.
Assembled in America
The Rave 2, AmeriGlide's main straight stair lift, is assembled in the US.
Low maintenance
AmeriGlide says its lifts need very little upkeep beyond replacing the batteries every 3 to 5 years, depending on use.
